I too was initially diagnosed in the Spring with an incurable form of blood cancer. I look forward to Spring each year because it is the season of rebirth, and a reminder that in spite of the cancer, I am ALIVE! 🥰
Thank you for sharing. I remember my mom saying that the worst part about having cancer was seeing people who asked "How are you doing?" She said the small change of saying "How are you today?" or any question that was more specific, asked with less of that certain inflection of caring but maybe curiosity and definitely pity.
